Mary has over a decade of professional college counseling and admissions experience. Originally from a remote tiny town in Northern Minnesota (ya sure, you betcha!), Mary didn’t know much about applying to colleges and universities during her own college search. Over the past ten years, however, she has been dedicated to learning college admissions inside and out in order to help people successfully navigate the process with ease. Mary’s experience ranges from campus tour guide to international admissions coordinator to director of college counseling at a prep school. She has worked for admissions offices at Oberlin College and The University of Pennsylvania, been a volunteer counselor for College Summit, and sat on the board of Guiding Youth to Careers, a mentoring program that partners college students with high school juniors and seniors in West Philadelphia. She has also recently worked as a US colleges specialist at a British international school in Bangkok, Thailand.
Mary has led national college tours for high school student groups as small as six and as large as 85, and has personally visited over 350 campuses across the US. (Email her to find out which are the most memorable!) Learning and laughing are two of her favorite pastimes, followed closely by traveling and dancing.
